How have we made an impact? What were our efforts to make FIRST a global name?
Bengali Association of Pittsburgh (Durga Festival)- We reached over 400 people within the diverse Indian community in Chartiers Valley Intermediate School.
Moon Area High School- We introduced the idea of a robotics club to about 25 people, including seniors who were pursuing STEM related fields.
Moon Area Middle School- We went to the MA middle school and demonstrated our robot and programs to roughly 30 kids, grades 5-8. We distributed our contact info to the gifted program teacher as well as the kids' parents. This allowed them to join and create teams when interested.
Moon Township Public Library- We created a PPT presentation & mini pamphlets with general info about FIRST and our team for the audience.
Mary Kay Cosmetics-
We conversed with company creators and showed the developers our robot in action. They shared our connections with their younger generations(FLL) and shared about us on social media.
The Landing Christian Impact Church- We spoke to people of religious backgrounds and offered flyers to those interested.
How have we made an impact? What were our efforts to make FIRST a global name?
Moon Area Elementary Schools- We conveyed our concepts of robotics to over 50 elementary students and parents from 5 different schools in the area.
World Class Fitness Center- We created flyers that were posted throughout the center and went in to discuss why robotics was relevant to people even in the exercising fields.
